Hassan co-sponsored S. 3228, a bill to amend the Controlled Substances Act to clarify how controlled substance analogues that are imported or offered for import are to be regulated.

Hassan spoke in support of the Support for Patients and Communities Reauthorization Act of 2025, stating that drug overdose deaths dropped 27 percent last year and emphasizing that reauthorizing the bipartisan law is essential to addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts.
